One afternoon in Melbourne I came across the beautiful “Confidante Dolls.” After minutes of gazing at the Dolls beauty and intricacy and sharing my story with the warm and friendly “Saramai”, I knew they would be the perfect good luck talisman for my Mum’s upcoming major surgery.

On the day of surgery I wore both beauties close to my heart (with the Baby Doll inside the Mumma Doll) while she was in both surgery and recovery. When she was out of surgery (and no longer under anesthetic!), I gave her the beautiful Baby Doll.

We now have each other close to our hearts, together or apart!

I am a mother, a kindergarten teacher and after my recent divorce I rediscovered that it can be fun to be as child like as my kids and my students. My Dolls are my grown up toys. They are gorgeous, unique and endlessly admired by both adults and children. They are all my favourite things; sparkly, purple, exquisite and like a Babuska, there is a secret inside. One day I might have a granddaughter to share them with, but at the moment I share them with my students who love to see the secret doll inside and love the purple and the sparkle as much as I do.

It is no secret that I adore beautiful things and my Dolls are no exception. These little creations are ones of captivating originality and stunning elegance. My Dolls evoke attention and are endlessly coveted by those around me, bringing glamour to my life. Although this contemporary representation of the timeless Babushka is fashion forward and on trend (a strong motivation behind my purchase), the Babushka has been around for centuries, I know it will remain for many more, and mine will be cherished always.

Gertie and Millie, my gorgeous inseparable poodles (one big and one little), have been with me for 15 years. When Millie (the bigger but slightly younger one) passed away I really wanted something very special as a remembrance keepsake. The Confidante Dolls are just so exquisite, they make me smile whenever I wear them - and while everyone comments on how beautiful they are, they are very good at keeping secrets and I can choose when I want to talk about their special meaning, and when the story is just for me.

Being the daughter of a Jewellery Dealer means I have always been surrounded by beautiful things, and it is not often that a piece of jewellery really captures me.
As soon as I saw the Confidante Dolls I fell in love with them. Not just because of the beauty of the designs, array of colours and quality of craftsmanship, but also because of the symbolism and meaning attached to them.
The relationship between a mother and a daughter is one so special and sacred – the Confidante Dolls are a gorgeous symbol of this, representing something to be treasured that only you and she can share.

My daughter fell in love with her doll the moment she saw it. She loves playing with both of them and seeing how the baby fits inside the mummy doll and although she’s not allowed to wear it as often as she’d like, it’s always very special to her when she does

We wear them every time we go out together, just her and I.

I had been looking for a special present to share with my Mother for a long time, something that had a story and could link us together, whether I was with her or not, I wanted her to feel a passion that we could both share whenever we held the jewellery in our hand.

She was so excited when she saw the doll, but when I told her the story and opened it up to reveal the baby inside she became quite emotional and could not wait to show it to all our family and friends.

Not only did I think the dolls were beautiful but I was so pleased when Mum realised the sentimential side.The concept of us sending thoughts to each other whilst holding the doll meant so much to the both of us as we do not live near to each other.

I am so happy with my purchase as it is very difficult to find a gift that can convey such meaning.
